After Dee shared images of her French onion chicken bake on Facebook, she received a lot of positive comments.

“Wow looks amazing! Thanks for sharing! Do you think this would work with evaporated milk?” one woman asked.

Dee replied, “Oh no clue, unfortunately, I’m not a chef at the best of times.”

The recipe was also reported on Daily Mail, where dozens of readers shared comments about the finished product.

“What is next for this woman suddenly discovers steak and kidney pudding anyway sear chicken with sliced leeks and bacon lardons before putting in the oven then after half an hour grated red Leicester on top Mmmmm.”

Some Daily Mail readers expressed their distaste at the sound of the recipe.

“Did two drunk 18-year-olds come up with this recipe? Sounds vile.”

“As gross as this looks, a pizza has more calories. Seriously. Combining the fat from cheese with carbs ramps them right up and also causes a sugar spike from the refined starch. Pure fat and protein like this chicken dish are actually zero carbs and despite the fat, way healthier (Plus the calcium in cheese stop you absorbing a lot of the fat).”

“It doesn’t sound or look good at all.”

Another person simply wrote, “Um. No.”
